Teak Boat Decking Advancements

May 8th 2015

Teak decking laid plank by plank with hundreds of screws in each batton are a thing of the past. The system of teak deck panels prefabricated with margin boards cut to fit before hand is a far better way of teak decking.

Our yacht decks have full depth caulk seams allowing for the deck to be sanded the entire thickness of the teak without having to be reseamed halfway through the thickness of the teak. Along with fasten less installation or minimal screws and plugs in the margin trim only, make teak decks of today last far longer and with less maintenance.

With the selection of vertical grain clear teak a teak deck made today will far out last one of same thickness that was made in a traditional hand laid method.
